Nashville Shores 2015

So somehow Savannah developed this plan of going to Nashville during July 4th weekend and going to a waterpark.

I didn't expect to enjoy it as much as I did, but this trip was a lot of fun.

Trace and I both had Friday off from work and while he relaxed and played a board game with Austin, I cleaned up the house.  When Savannah arrived, we scrambled to get packed up and headed off on our way.

We ate lunch at Abby's.  I had chicken dumplings, yum!  And then we were off.  We made it there and checked in and then headed to the mall.  Our first purchase?  Caramel apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory.  We ate at Rainforest Cafe and then headed back to the hotel for some much needed rest.

We woke up early the next day, ate our continental breakfast, and drove to Nashville Shores, where we spent the next hours having fun in the rain and riding waterpark rides.  I think everyone's favorite was the Big Kahuna. Jay kept almost flying out!

I made Trace get me Dippin' Dots and we left the park to get cleaned up and head to Opryland's mall. We shopped and I found so many inexpensive items at H&M.  I can't wait until the one in Memphis opens!

We visited the strip, where there were thousands and thousands of people.  We stayed for dinner at Puckett's, where I had an amazingly buttery ribeye and we didn't stay for the fireworks, because downtown was just too crazy.

We visited Immanuel Nashville church the next morning, where I saw a friend I met on a retreat with Trace's mom.  I was able to meet her husband and her beautiful baby girl.  God is so amazing how to orchestrates things!  On our way home we stopped at Loveless Cafe and chowed down on some really good barbecue sandwiches.

It was a really good trip and I'm so thankful that God protected us during it and that He gave us the provision to go.
