'Bout That Beck

I really thought I'd be writing more at this point, but I'm guess I'm learning life doesn't slow down.  It only speeds up.  And life right now for me is finding a way to balance all the stuff I want and need to do with the speed of life.

Music: Trace went to go see Tame Impala and came back with a love of Mini Mansions.  Turns out, I like them, too.  I can't really compare it to anything.  They say, I think, they're poppish, but not like Britney Spears pop.

Blog: I'm really enjoying my daily read of Reading My Tea Leaves.  Simple.  Interesting.  Minimalist.  I really do love the style of her writing and her photography just makes me happy.  I found her when I googled something like "making the most of a small space."  Such a great find.

Velvet hangers: If there is one purchase I've made that I'm completely in love with, it's velvet hangers.  My closet feels 12 times bigger.

Weight: I've been struggling with my weight lately.  Well, actually since before I met Trace I'd been feeling rather plump.  I think it's caught up with me though just how rotten it feels to not be able to even squeeze into my old clothes.

Green Line: I can't run, but I have started bicycling.  Trace bought me a bicycle and last Tuesday we went to the Green Line, which is a city-round-ish bike "trail."  I really enjoyed it.  Of course I reaped the consequences of allergies. Thanks, Memphis.

Book: Lean In.  This was suggested to my by one of our directors at work.  It's about women in the work place, how things are still very unbalanced, and some interesting thoughts on why.  How the nature of sexes plays into some of it.  It's interesting and I haven't finished it yet, but I will!

Beck: Trace loves Beck.  Tonight we're going to the amphitheater downtown to his concert.  Let's pray for no rain.  Here's to enjoying something with my husband that he enjoys!
